A real Italian tradition from Sorrento and Naples – over 300 years of excellent craftsmanship
Una tradizione Sorrentina e Napoletana * Autentico Made in Italy * Oltre 300 anni di Qualità Artigianale
We are creators of biscotto di Sorrento, used as a base in the world's best wood-fired ovens.
However, to save costs, most builders of wood-fired ovens do not use our bricks to construct entire ovens; they use them just as oven bases.
We use the absolute highest standard of raw materials, and can sell them at an affordable price because we produce them ourselves. A trusted and high-quality product is always guaranteed.
A historic craft that has come down through generations of craftsmen to you.
Built with the same materials as Neapolitan ovens and using a similar method.
A traditional Sorrento oven is defined by its square opening and quite high dome.
Why do we prefer Sorrento style wood-fired ovens?
A Sorrento or Naples oven can be built entirely from our high-quality biscotto di Sorrento and other stone slabs.
Our mobile ovens are built at our workshop in Maiano. They sit on a metal stand and are shipped fully assembled to your destination.
Fixed ovens are built on our customer's premises. We ship our materials and craftsmen to you in order to do this.
All our ovens can be finished with a decorative exterior cladding of your choice. You can choose decorative tiles and marble or granite for the external supports. The ovens are equipped with a steel door and flue.
You can choose between a wood-fired or gas oven or even both.
The earth under Sorrento's famous citrus groves is rich in volcanic silicon and pumice. This clay makes our biscotto di Sorrento very porous.
An oven base must be porous if it is to heat up quickly and conserve its heat for a long time, releasing it pleasantly and uniformly.
The essential difference between biscotto di Sorrento and the other stone slabs on the market is that it does not burn the bottom of the pizza, but absorbs the humidity from the dough.
We make other products such as stone slabs, the best and most durable for building wood-fired ovens and outdoor features like columns.
Unlike a traditional Sorrento oven, a truly Neapolitan wood-fired oven has a small round opening and a low ceiling, which provides greater heat and reduces cooking times.
